Clear answers to common questions about ProductExec services, frameworks, and how we work.

ProductExec is an executive advisory practice specializing in AI product strategy, operating models, and transformation leadership. We help leaders turn AI ambition into product strategy, shipped outcomes, and durable competitive advantage.

We combine CPO-level operating experience with practical frameworks (VPOM, ATLAS, PRISM) that embed into your team's work. We're not consultants who hand off a deck — we work alongside your team to create the decisions, artifacts, and habits you need to execute.

ProductExec works with CEOs and product leaders who have more AI initiatives than owners. In practice that is CEOs, founders, CTOs, and VP or Chief Product Officers whose teams have scattered AI work, an overloaded roadmap, and no single owner per bet.

Fractional product leadership means Kevin works embedded with your team on a contract basis as your CPO. This includes roadmap resets, executive alignment, team hiring and coaching, product operating model design, and transformation execution.

The diagnostic sprint is a time-boxed engagement (typically 2-4 weeks) to assess your current AI product strategy, identify gaps and opportunities, develop a prioritized execution roadmap, and highlight quick wins. You walk away with a clear map and a path forward.

VPOM (Value Product Operating Model) is a framework for aligning strategy, product bets, and AI-assisted delivery flow. It connects customer value creation, product portfolio decisions, and the teams and processes needed to execute.

ATLAS (Application Transformation for Legacy Architecture Simplification) is a framework for turning legacy systems and technical debt into transformation roadmaps. It helps you see how modernization creates the foundation for AI adoption.

PRISM (Product Risk & Impact Selection Model) is a framework for discovering, validating, and shipping AI capabilities responsibly. It balances customer value, feasibility, risk, and responsible deployment.

Fractional product leadership brings external perspective, executive judgment from five senior product roles, four of them CPO-level, and dedicated focus without the distraction of other operational roles. It's ideal for teams that need strategic reset, new thinking, or a temporary leadership bridge.

Engagements vary by scope: the diagnostic sprint runs 2-4 weeks, a full AI product strategy engagement 8-12 weeks, and fractional leadership contracts span 3-12 months. Engagements are priced by scope, not by hours. The entry point is a $1,500 ninety-minute working session, credited in full against any engagement that follows. Durations are published on each service page so you can size the decision before we speak.

Book the ninety-minute working session. Send the context beforehand, and you leave with a written point of view within 48 hours. If it is not a fit, Kevin will say so and point you somewhere better.

We work with both. Enterprise teams benefit from fractional leadership to reset product strategy and modernize operating models. Startups benefit from diagnostic work to clarify AI positioning early. The frameworks adapt to both contexts.

The first step

Ninety minutes on the decision you are actually stuck on.

Most advisory relationships start with a discovery call that discovers nothing. This one starts with work. Send the context beforehand — the roadmap, the org chart, the three AI initiatives nobody owns. We spend ninety minutes on the single decision blocking the others. You leave with a written point of view: what you should stop, what you should own, and what the next ninety days look like.

Not a fit if you want a vendor evaluation, a staffing plan, or a deck to circulate. If ninety minutes shows this is not a fit, Kevin will say so and point you somewhere better.
